Technical description:

MECMAR RT type is a .cylindrical, vertically arranged continuous drier, equipped with a large heat exchanging surface, operating consequently with a low air velocity. The velocity of air passing through the grain is low, resulting in a minimum level of dust contamination emitted. The drier is designed with an internal zinc plated frame and an external cylinder jacket coating consisting of perforated, stainless steel sheet. The wet grains are fed into the drier above, regulated by level indicator probes monitoring the grain level. Drying takes piace fn the upper section of the cylindrical part, while cooling of the grain and recuperation of the thermal energy in the section situated beneath. To prevent a "lamination of humidity" within the grain layer moving downwards, there are guiding plates installed at medium height of the drying section, guiding the grains moving near to the internal to the external jacket coating, and vice versa. The air quantity necessary for the drying process is supplied by a heavy duty centrifugal fan working at low noise level and operating with an axial air exhaust. The necessary quantity of thermal energy is supplied by the gas burner built into the inner part of the drier, into the air chamber, The discharging of the grain takes place by means of a planet screw, the start and operation time of which are controlled according to the humidity of the grain.
